The saw blade is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch deeper than the thickness of the wood. For example, when cutting 3/4 inch wood, the saw blade depth can be 1 inch or slightly less.

No special guide rails? Just take a square or a stick. Remember to secure the wood before cutting.
Tips for accurate cutting 📐
Saw blades are 1/8 inch thick, so 1/8 inch of wood “disappears” as sawdust when cutting. When cutting along the line, carefully consider whether to let the cut go over the line or along the line. The length of the wood cut by the two methods will be slightly different.
